Main Article Content
Abstract
Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is not a commonly encountered case in dental practice. We report an 8-year old boy with Tetralogy of Fallot, who was referred to our clinic from the Paediatric Cardiology clinic on account of retained primary teeth. Examination revealed plethoric conjunctiva, bilateral finger and foot clubbing, hyper-pigmented skin rashes and central cyanosis. Intraoral cyanosis of the gingiva, tongue and oral mucosa, retained lower deciduous central incisors, lingually placed permanent lower incisors were observed. Patient had successful dental extractions with adequate antibiotic prophylaxis, pre-oxygenation and oxygen saturation monitor. Post-operative condition and follow up were uneventful.
